Which lens would be best for my Canon Rebel XSi for taking Pictures Of Landscapes?
First of all, right now I have a 58 mm. And I also have a tripod, but I can’t take that everywhere.. And this camera’s shutter speed is really lame.
and also do you know how/where I can get a manual focus lens?

or whenever i wanna take a picture, i have to hold it perrrrrrfectly still for like 5 seconds, and i thought that it wouldn’t do that? i thought it’d be an actually GOOD camera…but I’d need to use a tripod…I have to keep taking the same picture over and over to get a good one. and action shots do NOT work. can I get a different lens to fix that?
I think you need to read your manual.
58mm is likely the diameter of your lens, and the size of the filter you normally add to a lens. If you bought the kit lens with your camera, it is an 18-55mm zoom.
Your camera has a tremendous amount of flexibility in it, but if you are selecting the wrong options, you will not get good results. If you want to click on my profile and email me I can try to give you more specific help.
To start with (and you want to learn enough about your camera so you can move beyond this) set your shooting mode to P – Program. That should let you take decent pictures most of the time. If you want to specify a shutter speed, you can certainly do that by selecting Tv. Your camera – with the correct lighting, ISO and aperture can use a shutter speed as fast as 1/4000 of a second.
